Goodbye 2014

2014 was a big year. I attended 59 births and fostered a cat who had a litter if 6 kittens in our family room. I got to witness clients birthing their second baby’s with me, twin births, emergency births, VBAC’s, unplanned home births, caesarean births, the short life of a sweet little boy, best friends births, midwives births, doula’s births, caul births, water births even a pediatricians home birth!

More of my clients birthed at home and way more caught their own baby’s. I witnessed lots of dad’s catch and even a grandma catch!

I was with families for day’s of labour and at births where I arrived and the baby was born within 5 minutes! I made two viral blog posts one on delayed cord clamping and one with images of babies coming out of vagina’s. In one weekend the delayed cord clamping article reached over 50,000 people!

My facebook likes reached to 17,630 fans!!!! Less of my work was reported and I posted more images that show what happens at births and women breastfeeding.

Thank you all for your support and love. I can’t wait to see what happens in 2015!

Here is my year end slideshow. Thank you to all my clients who share their stories it means so much to so many.

Much love,

Morag Hastings

This story is one that touched my heart this year. One of my doula sisters had a wonderful free birth, this is her birth story.
