Tonight I had an opportunity to attend a doula meeting, this is my second. I find these meetings inspiring and full of information. My biggest question always is: How do you follow your dream of being a doula while having kids? This is what is holding me back yet so many mothers are able to commit to a flexible unpredictable career. I know this is what I will do one day, one day soon, I just need to find the time and be able to commit. My way of life up to this point has always been family first it would be hard to change that now. And one thing I know about myself if I can’t commit I won’t do something. Soon my youngest will be more independent and I will be able to lead a life of supporting women though one of the most amazing life altering times in their lives. I can’t wait!
